My mother in law gifted me an incredibly out of touch and downright inaccurate book about parenting. She said she used it to raise her daughter and I said, "God, I hope not."
I'm begging people to stop buying pop psychology books, ESPECIALLY the ones that are like HERE IS THIS SOCIETAL CAUSE FOR MENTAL ILLNESS they're not only writing up whatever the fuck they want with no oversight b/c it makes publishers money, but it's DANGEROUS to put out there ESP. to parents!

Reminder: the First Amendment protects everyone who resides in our country. It doesn't matter if you have a green card or a visa or if you're undocumented. The Supreme Court has repeatedly affirmed that any person residing in the United States, regardless of status, is entitled to 1A protections.
