Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

Gonna start a thread of gratitude because of this post. I'll keep adding to this as I do the dishes and as the spirit moves me, but let's start with:
Give folks their flowers
No, I mean right now. Go tell someone you loved their work right now. They're on social media just say it, it has never been easier

Gonna start a thread of gratitude because of this post. I'll keep adding to this as I do the dishes and as the spirit moves me, but let's start with:
Our daughter has gotten really into pointing at things, and has also discovered that we'll carry her over to whatever she's pointing at when we're holding her. So now I picture her as a tiny gleeful sea captain, ordering her crew to bring her that horizon.

Every night when I start getting ready for sleep, our cat gets very excited and jumps up onto the bed to wait for me. When I lie down, he immediately sits directly on my chest and headbutts my chin as I pet him for a few minutes. Once he's satisfied, he climbs off and curls up between our pillows.
