People whose new books are just published, please, tell us the TOPIC of the book. In the same post. Up front.

You may be charming and the book may be wonderful; but don't you want it read beyond your circle?

It's frustrating when even a highly motivated person can't tell what a book is about.

Kudos and much gratitude to Greens leader Elizabeth May 🍁🌿🍁 for holding the government’s feet to the fire on commitments regarding climate change, sustainability and reconciliation. 🇨🇦
A major win for the planet, and for the Greens. Elizabeth May just secured a historic on-the-record promise from PM Mark Carney: Canada will meet our Paris climate targets and our Kunming–Montreal biodiversity goals. We’re not here for talk, we’re here for results.

At work, we are seeing a STEEP decline in vaccinations for Latino children.

Many of these children receive those vaccines at school sites and mobile clinics at school.

That likely means that Latino parents just arent sending their kids to school at ALL for fear of ICE.

Ford crony/TDSB supervisor Rohit Gupta probably doesn’t know (or care) that teachers have to spend their classroom budget (if they have one) or their own $$ on tissues, table wipes, and bandaids.

Your child’s teacher or local school might appreciate a donation of these items if you’re able to help.

So…

The federal budget passed.

No election triggered.

Now we need to think about how we can support each other to get through the harder times ahead.

Times are already tough.

It’s going to get worse.

And the budget passes 🇨🇦 That was close. Interesting. No holiday election. Nice!
Elizabeth May says she’ll vote yes “for the country and the planet,” but warns the Liberals she won’t back them again unless they deliver on today’s commitments.

With her support, the government now needs one more vote to pass the budget.
