i'm still one of those people who uses all/mostly all lower case letters & it just took me a little too long to figure how to turn off auto-caps at the beginning of a new sentence on this phone. ofc maybe i'm just tired from having to find/replace a zillion passwords last night. rip to my old phone.

when I write a long crónica or diary entry where I really go into some pastoral or philosophical work I feel like I really did something. I really accomplished a task but when I write pages of antipoetry or synthpoetics I say to myself, that's what you do. it's just habit and nothing to be proud of.

usually there are great pieces on crimereads but this is not one of them. the folk and psychological horror subgenres can be very subtle. and I see both Gothic and horror as very closely related romance most of the time.
A big nope to this. The idea that horror can't be subtle, that horror is "thrills and chills" is so off the mark that if the article was in a physical object that I could throw against a
wall (like, NOT my desktop) I would have within reading the second paragraph.

Paul Reubens + Sinead O'Connor are highly illustrative re: the perpetual hypocrisy of "protect the children" culture. The same people who vilified Sinead for tearing up the pope's photo ended Pee Wee's career under the implicit auspices he was unsafe for kids. Same shit now.
