If any "centrist" or "moderate Democrat" says Trump isn't a racist or simply appeals to "economic anxiety," I think we can safely ignore them forever and tell them to move aside as the rest of us move forward.

Is this politics done "the right way," @ezraklein.bsky.social?
Trump: "Ilhan Omar, whatever the hell her name is. With her little turban. I love her. She comes in, does nothing but bitch ... we ought to get her the hell out ... she's here illegally."

The crowd in Pennsylvania then starts chanting "send her back!"

Trump: "You can give up certain products. You could give up pencils. Because under the China policy, every child can get 37 pencils. They only need 1 or 2. They don't need that many. You always need steel. You don't need 37 dolls for your daughter. 2 or 3 is nice. So we're doing things right."

He’s telegraphing that he lacks community. So many tech bros have this same glaring hole - lack of social connection - and are creating a world adapted to their weak spot. With ChatGPT, you never have to talk to people. And yet, so many connections are made between people sharing experience.
Jimmy Fallon: "And do you use ChatGPT when raising your baby?"

Sam Altman: "I cannot imagine figuring out how to raise a newborn without ChatGPT."

“From Day One of Trump’s second term, there has been a callous indifference to human life….But the media, and the watchdogs, have struggled to convey this reality with so many of the deaths taking place off camera.” Timely reminder from @willbunch.bsky.social
It's great that the media, Congress is going all Watergate on one of Trump's many crimes, the 'double-tap' murder of 2 Caribbean sailors

But the reality is that Trump's death cult has killed hundreds of thousands, mostly through senseless USAID cuts

The Constitution is very straightforward on birthright citizenship. There's no ambiguity in the language, no other plausible interpretation.

The fact that this is a public discussion at all, and that the Supreme Court is taking it up, is on its own anti-constitutional bullshit.
