ICE detained Julio Noriega, a 54 year-old US citizen who was born in Chicago, for over 10 hours on January 31st.

He was walking around "Berwyn, Illinois, handing out his resume to local businesses."

They didn't show him a warrant.

They didn't give him paperwork.

And he's now suing.

I honestly hope that if people hear this coming from me then maybe it will sink in

you DO NOT need to get arrested. We live in a surveillance state, an arrest now does not carry the same consequences as arrests in ‘68. The state is violent & will escalate on you. You should avoid arrest if possible
When going out to protest, the goal shouldn’t be to get arrested. Do not run yourself into arrests. Do not just hand yourself over to the state.
