Dammit RIP indeed.

The below from qospress is not Freddie’s work; here’s a typical example. I don’t think this one was a Tiptree t-shirt.

I propose an international law that once you become personally responsible for the murder of 1,000 people, be it via direct violence or policy, you are declared a dragon and adventurers can form parties to quest against you.

Once upon a time, American soldiers handed out food to Germans because *they* had followed a fascist madman into national ruin.

How times change.
NEW: The US Army website for its bases in Bavaria, Germany told its soldiers and employees that it might need to obtain free food from the German government during the US government shutdown.

The Army later altered publication to remove a list of food banks, but we have the original text here:
US Army Tells Soldiers to Go to German Food Bank, Then Deletes It
The initial 'Shutdown Guidance' for the US Army Garrison Bavaria included instructions to go to German food banks.

My theory is that people would have voted in the new coke elections yesterday if that’s all there was. People just want to VOTE, period.

New Mexico is now officially the first state to offer free child care to all residents.

Under the program all families, regardless of income, can get their child care fees covered.

Proponents say the program will help the economy, improve education, and boost child welfare.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

It would be such a shame if this building, which completely ruined the skyline of New York City, had to be pulled down. It would just break my heart, which is full of deeply motivated loathing for this building
Reading about this luxury apartment building that's falling apart after only ten years because the developer wanted a pure white building, a color only achieved by weakening the concrete. LOL what a fucking living metaphor.
432 Park Is Cracking Up
Developers wanted the supertall’s cement façade to be a pristine white. Turns out that’s not great for durability.

I called my plumbers yesterday about a small issue. The firm is Jamaican-owned and almost entirely Latino-staffed. The Latino dispatcher told me how excited he was that his son had just started an IT internship with a major big-city law firm.
