I don't know which of my kouhais need to hear this, but because I'm seeing this in a ton of commercial J>E game locs: you really shouldn't retain quotation marks in the same places as the Japanese source text 9 times of 10, especially outside dialogue. Punctuation parity in general is often sloppy.

Discord logged me out of all devices after I reported two spammers and it legit looked indistinguishable from if I just lost access to my account since it's plausible hovering those spam messages alone could trigger some exploit

BUT. The fact that we’re even having to defend empathy at all (?!?!) shows a larger cultural backlash against vulnerability, compassion, and interdependence. (Not independence- INTERdependence).

One of the biggest debacles during Second Wave Feminism was people collaborating with religious conservatives to ban porn, and it was literally pointed out *at the time* that this was what was going to happen
