A friendly reminder that many states have legal protection for employees who call out sick. In the state of Colorado, for example, it is unlawful for any employer to require a Dr's Note if you call out less than 3 days in a row! Learn the laws in your area and take a "sick day" when you need one!

Claiming to be curious, discerning or skeptical but simultaneously being unwilling to genuinely make adjustments and changes to your position when sufficient and legit information comes your way isn’t being curious; it’s being closed minded with the safety of certainty disguised as skepticism

CDC Public Health Service physicians are being deployed to migrant detention centers. We know you face a difficult choice: go in an attempt to provide medical care or refuse to participate. If you go, DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. We need proof of human rights violations perpetrated by this administration.

If you used to wear a mask regularly and no longer do, have you asked the question: who benefits?

Anti-mask rhetoric has been a right wing stance since the beginning of the pandemic, and objectively CV rates have not changed very much since 2021, we also know much more about long CV harms 1/

Ever wonder how cults keep people dependent and stuck? Let’s talk about it…

One of the most manipulative tactics cults use—whether spiritual or wellness-based—is convincing you their method is the only path to healing. No results? Just try harder. Still failing? You must be doing it wrong. 1/

Why is Wellness Language Often So Manipulative?

Ever been told your fatigue is from “toxic overload” or that your nervous system needs a “reset”? Wellness language sounds scientific—but it often isn’t. Let’s talk about how this manipulative lingo works—and why it’s a red flag. 1/10

One consequence of tolerating pseudoscience is that people die when its legitimatization becomes baked into our culture, health care systems, and institutions.

Chiropractors must get the ultimate course in sleazy fear mongering sales.

My patient this week told me the DC said their 8mm atlas tilt was “compressing the brainstem” &very severe. Didn’t want an adjustment but was so scared so did it anyways. Now they are in more pain than before they started 🥴

Since the news broke of a child dying from a vaccine preventable illness that has previously been eradicated, I have been devastated, and I am having trouble focusing. This is all preventable and does not have to be this way.

Love how wellness influencers claim all doctors are industry captured when a federal database of every industry dollar given to every doctor exists thanks to the Sunshine Act.

Weird that naturopaths and "functional" doctors have no similar vetting system, no?

Start thinking (if you haven't already) about how you can help to get people in your own community medical care that they may need.

What community medical clinics are operating where you live? Donate and support.

Do you know doctors/NPs who would volunteer to provide free care? Make connections.

A thought-terminating cliché is a phrase or slogan used to shut down critical thinking, debate, or questioning by providing a simplistic or dismissive response. They often invoke authority, morality, or circular reasoning to discourage discussion. Let’s talk about thought-stoppers in wellness… 1/

Nobody joins a cult, you only leave them.

We join groups, movements, relationships, and ideas that inspire us, make us feel seen, align with our vision for the world or our lives.

One thing my chronic
and terminal illness clients often tell me is that receiving unsolicited, poorly timed or just ill-informed advice from well meaning loved ones is one of the most harmful things they experience. I’ve experienced this first hand too. What’s the worst “advice” you’ve been given?
