If you’ve been wanting to start masking again, I would invite you to start in small steps.

Mask in public places where susceptible people have to go – grocery stores, medical offices, pharmacies, etc.

Always wear a mask when you yourself are sick

And communicate with your circles 6/6

I won’t lie masking is annoying, but it’s also one of the best tools of resistance and solidarity that we have available to us. By taking the small step to protect our most vulnerable and create inclusive environments, we are pushing back 5/

Fascism loves it when we abandon the most vulnerable in our communities.

Fascism loves it when we subject ourselves to potentially disabling and deadly diseases regularly. Despite the fact we have effective mitigation measures. 4/

This is a perfect example of how social pressure can actually convince us to adopt an ideology that we don’t actually believe in.

The risks have not changed, the science has not changed, and the rates of infection and exposure have not changed, and yet we are taking fewer and fewer precautions 3/

So why is it that we’ve abandoned taking a very simple and easy to utilize protective measure for ourselves and our communities?

I think it’s mostly because the pushback and pressure that originated in Alt-right circles became so intense and also, unfortunately normalized 2/

You’re not broken. You don’t need fixing. You need truth, skills, and support—not culty shame or magical thinking. That’s where real power lives. 10/10

Real growth? It isn’t mysterious. It’s skill-building. Taking action. Getting honest about what’s actually going on. And being willing to step outside systems that only offer you blame instead of support. 9/

These systems sell the illusion of control, not actual solutions. They keep us hooked with vague promises and spiritual shame, while rejecting grounded, real-world action. 8/

But when it doesn’t work, you don’t question the method—you blame yourself. “I didn’t do it perfectly.” “I need to detox harder.” And suddenly, you’re stuck in an endless cycle of protocols, shame, and false hope. 7/

This same pattern plays out in toxic wellness culture. You’re sick, scared, and the medical system fails you. In steps someone with “the fix”—a protocol, a supplement stack, an intensive test. It feels good… at first. 6/
May 22, 2025 at 4:06 PM
What actually worked? Learning skills, taking action, building a website—stuff the cult ridiculed as “low vibration.” They shamed anything practical because it threatened their control. 5/

My business didn’t struggle because I was out of alignment—it struggled because I didn’t know how to market in an oversaturated, underpaid industry. I needed practical tools, not vague spiritual blame. 4/
May 22, 2025 at 4:05 PM
The result? I lost touch with reality and my own power. I wasn’t learning how to succeed—I was chasing a spiritual fix that never worked. Nothing changed until I left and faced the real problem: I didn’t have the skills I needed. 3/
May 22, 2025 at 4:05 PM
When I was in a cult, my biz was struggling. Instead of giving me tools—like how to market or build a website—they told me I was “misaligned” with God and needed to “hold my intention” better. Guess what their solution was? More spiritual healing that they offered. 2/

You deserve practitioners who welcome questions, explain clearly, and don’t rely on mystery to sell healing. Language can liberate—or manipulate. Don’t be afraid to challenge it. 10/10
May 22, 2025 at 3:27 AM
How to stay safe? Ask questions. If someone says your symptoms are due to “trapped emotions” or a “blocked meridian,” ask what that actually means. If they can’t explain—or get defensive—that’s not care. It’s control. 9/10
May 22, 2025 at 3:27 AM
It also reinforces shame. If you’re not getting better, maybe you didn’t detox hard enough. Maybe your trauma is still “stored in your fascia.” It’s not just pseudoscience—it’s gaslighting. 8/10
May 22, 2025 at 3:27 AM
This pseudo-medical language often sets up dependency. You’re always one supplement, session, or detox away from finally healing. But healing keeps staying just out of reach. 7/10
