I’m having that thing where you log on to social and everyone is reacting to the new thing but the reactions are vague, aghast, angry enough that you’re struggling to figure out exactly what the new thing is. German must have a word for this.

If I were running the DNC, there would be Democratic Party sponsored food relief banks across the country right now that specifically welcomed anyone regardless of party affiliation.

Along with the food, there could be voter registration and links to runforsomething.net

kind of just endlessly sad and grieving that there are so few voices in the public sphere making the basic principled argument that immigration is an affirmative good in every way and the best way for this country to serve humanity is to welcome people who want or need to leave their homes

If you burn down a forest, you don't miss out on lumber for just that season. You have to replant all the trees, nurture them, and wait for them to grow.

The science and research budget cuts happening now are wanton, senseless arson. Recovery, if it ever happens, will take generations.

Marvel could pay for my healthcare for the rest of my life for a fraction of 1% of profit from Spider-Man Noir, a character whose original comics I edited. For Peter David to die in medical debt, co-creator of Spider-Man 2099 and writer of countless seminal Hulk and X-Factor comics—that's a disgrace

Peter David wrote all my favorite Hulk comics when I was a kid. Then, years later, presumably not knowing that I was a fan, he showed up at a book signing of mine to wait in line and give me a signed copy of one of HIS books! Baller move. RIP to one of the greats.

I moved to Seattle but really miles and miles from Seattle. I had to take a ferry and they aren’t like buses or subways and actually the PNW isn’t anything like NYC so I moved back. I feel like 5 min of research would have helped Emma.

I will never get those 5 min back after reading this.
