10% of white people think you have to be white to be English - but 84% of white people disagree with that. Two-thirds of ethnic minorities think Englishness is a civic, not ethnic identity, though 1/4 of minority groups join 1/10 of the majority group in seeing it as ethnically defined (YouGov)

Nigel Farage's hypocrisy exposed during PMQs. 🚨

Farage has earned more than £1.1 million through second jobs since the General Election, but he calls for cuts to the minimum wage for young people.

Unbelievable.

Simple enough, the Conservative Party will deport UK residents if they are not considered to contribute enough.

Any respectable politician or media commentator should be condemning such extremism.
Slightly confusing briefing with Badenoch's spokesman & a Tory press person on their/Katie Lam's migration plans. Here's what I could follow:
• Tory policy on revoking indefinite leave to remain is "broadly in line with what Katie said" (they "haven't seen" her idea it's extended to EU nationals) ..

What about childcare hours for example? A benefit that allows more adults to work and pay more tax…
If *any* dependent receives *any* form of social protection at any point, you lose your legal status, as drafted. It is sloppy, mad & ludicrously extreme all at once

Katie Lam has made a video - focusing on not giving new ILR grants to people who don't have it

But quietly including the Conservative proposal to be the first government since Idi Amin in 1972 to revoke the permanent leave to remain, then expel: she underplays to what extent

People who have come to the United Kingdom legally, played by the rules and made it their home do not need to “go home”. This is their home.

I've written to Kemi Badenoch to give her the chance to reject these divisive calls from her frontbencher Katie Lam.

Amazing story in The Times. Reform UK failed to pay VAT to HMRC on its sales (tickets, merchandise). About £400k in all.

Not tax avoidance. Not tax evasion. They just didn't realise when you sell stuff you have to charge VAT.
