:o The fact that this major American retailer has done /nothing/ to curtail these raids on their property has made it clear across America that ICE is not only tolerate, but welcomed. Please, dot not abide by this. Be a nuisance to an apathetic retailer who actively participates in cruelty.

:o As a reminder, fascist advisor and government administrator, Stephen Miller has /repeatedly/ been accused of bellowing at ICE operatives to sweep Home Depot parking lots. This is explicitly to prey upon groups of "day laborer" immigrants know to congregate outside these stores in search of work.
In Monrovia, California, protesters are purchasing 17¢ ICE scrapers from Home Depot and immediately returning them to create long lines and slow down the entire store. Their aim is to disrupt sales and convey a message opposing ICE raids occurring in their neighborhood.

I really can't stress how important it is for progressive and leftists to contend for school, library, water, etc etc boards. Hyper local involvement in our communities where we can actually influence lives.

Sadly, all the Learn Blender people were right. You couldn't pay me to go back to Maya or 3Ds Max. And I couldn't pay me either, because their license costs are insane

Support Blender today!!!
Blender is struggling. it's the best piece of 3d software on the market, and it's free. I'm not going back to autodesk.

My most strongly held comics opinion (I hesitate to say "opinion," because it's a fact): lettering should be the first finished thing done, not the last. Done after (or along with) roughs and finalized before pencils. Pencils and inking should be done AROUND the lettering.

The majority of Democratic voters support Medicare for All.

If your federal elected official doesn’t support Medicare for All, boycott donations to them.

I've been sayin' this for years. Old-brained people who are like "If they're so POOR, how do they afford CEL PHONES and REFRIGERATORS" don't realize that the time from their youth when rent, school, and healthcare were reasonable while stuff like TVs were luxury items has been completely inverted.
Pretty much all affordability discourse could benefit from just posting this chart.

If you're in the better off America, all the luxury goods you want in excess are for the most part much cheaper. If you're in the poorer America, most of the shit you need to live/grow is more expensive.

I was today, years old when I learned there was a little fad around 2000-2001 for 'digital trading cards': narrow card-like CDs that you just put in your drive, and they span around as usual.

One set of them is for Buffy for the Vampire Slayer, with per character multimedia stuff.

I am working on a story that involves some of the ways people really are standing up in this moment. There really is a groundswell and it's not coming from DC.
I keep seeing regular Americans taking more risks every day to fight tyranny, want, and cynicism than I see from the opposition party, and I imagine many of those regular Americans are asking themselves what the value proposition of such an opposition party is, really

In theory this deal is days away from getting out of the senate unless they all agree to unanimous consent.

So this isn't over yet.

Just don't send the senators any fucking thank yous for standing strong if you are calling them. My god.

Good time to remind folks of the economic blackout protest.

Nov 25 - Dec 2, do what you can to not give a penny to big corporations. Skip black Friday and cyber Monday, you don't need it. Buy from small businesses, artists, and within your community where you can.

Not that Ohio had any affect on this, but just wanted to chip in with my own state's progressive caucuses for all to look into (for the Senate or otherwise, because these fuckers are in almost every Dem group in the country).

Starting with Cleveland:

We gave them the victories they’ve been asking for and they turned around and gave up as soon as it was convenient. The carrot days of the Democratic base are over. Time for the stick. They’re not afraid enough of us. We can fix that (with votes).
