Good morning, beloved.

There is healing to be found in the decision to love.

Today is a great day to overcome evil with good.

‘Carol’ as in ‘Christmas carol’ originally referred to dances performed in the round.

It later referred to the song of merriment that accompanied said dances.

‘Carol’ is your mom’s friend who sells labradoodle sweaters on Etsy.

Since the Internet Archive has popped back into relevance tonight, just an FYI: It's one of a handful of tech nonprofits that have low-key become super important *in general* over the years, and perhaps especially this year.
I feel like there’s a story to be done on the under-recognized importance of tech nonprofits to modern journalism.

E.g.:

• Signal
• RECAP/Courtlistener
• Internet Archive/Wayback Machine
• Wikipedia/Wikimedia

See also: nonprofit outlets like AP, ProPublica, and RNS, obvi.

ICE killed an Eritrean Imam in one of their concentration camps this week. Can you imagine if it was a pastor? The dovetailing of #Islamophobia and immigration cruelty is because white Christian nationalism is our stated public policy. It really pisses me off. We have to fight it with all we’ve got.

I had my focus mostly on Mary this Advent, but this perspective on Joseph hits the same notes in a very different way. Beautiful!

If you’re thinking it might be a good idea to get rid of vaccines try the vaccine schedule game. You get to be RFK for a day. Eliminate the vaccines of your choice and we’ll tell you how many people will get sick and die.

See the public health impact of changes to vaccine schedules. Make your own vaccine schedule and see how disease rates change.
