POLITICO compiled a list of all the Washington Post staffers who have left in the past eight months. It’s at least a hundred names, many of them among the biggest names in journalism. This is the fastest erosion of a major outlet ever.

we gotta bring back Rick Mercer's Talking to Americans. i know it's inhumane but these animals only understand humiliation
A Quebec fisherman who was fishing 15 kilometers north of the US border was essentially kidnapped by US Border Patrol, who capsized his boat and dragged him to an American prison cell.

In any normal time this'd be quite the international incident, y'know?

Revoking an artist's visa for their speech, no matter how controversial, doesn't make us safe.

The government should not be policing the artistic or political expression of citizens, visitors, or anyone else.

Senate Democrats are standing up right now for our constituents who will lose their health care, who will face rising energy costs, and who will lose access to SNAP benefits.

We have to do whatever we can to stop the “Big Beautiful Bill”.

the only thing keeping Trump v US from topping the list of worst Supreme Court decisions imo is that it hasn’t (yet) led to the dissolution of the United States washingtonmonthly.com/2025/06/27/i...
It’s Not Just a Constitutional Crisis in the Trump Era. It’s Constitutional Failure | Washington Monthly
While Trump defies constitutional norms, Congress remains conspicuously silent and the Supreme Court has abdicated its responsibility.

Several of my books have been banned and challenged. I've never seen them on banned books displays. Being banned has, if anything, decreased my sales. Worse, it sends a message to the queer kids I wrote the books for that their stories are shameful and something to be hidden away.

In a 6-3 vote on Trump v. CASA, the MAGA Supreme Court ruled to narrow the scope of nationwide injunctions, limiting lower courts’ ability to broadly protect us against Trump’s onslaught of illegal and unconstitutional actions. 🧵
This outrageous Supreme Court decision is another reminder that the courts won’t save us. Today’s ruling from the MAGA SCOTUS is all the more reason why Democrats in Congress must fight like hell to block Trump’s policies from being enacted and gum up the works as much as possible.
