We used to be a proper country. We had Jefferson Pilot and the Daves.
The ESPN-YouTube dispute is a reminder that we need to return to the glory days of college football broadcasts: Ivy League games on PBS

I *willingly* watched Heath Shuler throw 2 TDs and FOURTEEN INTERCEPTIONS in a season. As a Saints fan, I too don't scare easily.
We both have watched them field QBs Billy Joe Tolliver, Billy Joe Hobert & Danny Wuerffel in the same season.

Can’t get much worse.
Yep, football season is here. And the New Orleans Saints will field one of the worst football teams your eyes have ever seen.

Mad Dog’s mom on “Good Times”. She always seemed very classy. R.I.P.
Born in my hometown of Yazoo City, Mississippi and best known for her role as Fred’s girlfriend Donna on “Sanford and Son” and Verdie on “The Waltons.”

Rest in peace to Lynn Hamilton

I think it's a safe bet that she knows things about this situation that the general public doesn't.
So on one hand - sure, this is a mostly true statement in a vacuum.

But my goodness are the optics poor unless she really knows something we don't. Gayle is effectively dismissing some pretty disturbing accusations!

Same. I muted a while back for talking to me crazy over something we were generally in agreement on.

@karenhunter.bsky.social the conversation with Dr. Dyson was disappointing. It seemed he was arguing against online trolls (who don't listen to SXM 126). He sounded like someone protecting his bag who may not be up for this particular moment.

Feel like we need a new name for these things than "documentary."

"documentary" implies a level of rigor, journalistic ethics, and truth-telling that is impossible when the subject of the documentary is involved in the process of making it.

These are commercials.
Netflix will stream a three-part documentary titled “PRIME TIME” in 2026 on the life of Deion Sanders, the network announced on Wednesday.

I was a little too young during their run, but in hindsight, I suspect part of their appeal was the disconnect of them looking like models but sounding like they smoked Newports and drank dark liquor.

Hey so (yes, I’m still in my Milli Vanilli era)…

The crazy thing is that I don’t hear any outstanding vocals on their songs to begin with lol. Especially when it comes to Fab’s parts where he’s essentially rapping. They could’ve turned their mics on, man. 😂

Step one is complete! Got the GA Bar email first thing this am. S/o to @bigesqbae.bsky.social @gohomeryan.com and the other attorneys on my skyline that keep me motivated and entertained.
Pass the bar and start billing at an actual attorney’s rate. 😂
For everyone starting back work for the new year, what are your career goals for 2025?? 👀

All of this, but especially #4.
Here’s a post that will apply to EVERYONE:
1. If you don’t like someone mute/block
2. If you wanna address someone “@“ them
3. Don’t resort to slut shaming, fat phobic, homophobic/transphobic, hateful remarks
4. Pls consider that you don’t know most of the ppl on the app/what they’re going through.

@karenhunter.bsky.social my intro to you was the Party of Lincoln in '15 or '16, and it was like I'd stepped into the middle of a conversation that didn't involve me. So, I was immediately turned off because I wasn't ready for that change in thinking...

Most Pelicans fans are gonna go full “doom and gloom” with this news.

Me, personally: it’s better than expected.

If nothing else happens, he has a chance of playing on Opening Day for the first time since 2022-23 season.

@africanacarr.bsky.social I really hope "Cynthia from Florida" is still listening to 126 since Josh Weil is scheduled to be on with @luriedanielfavors.bsky.social this morning. 😂

This is fair, and...likewise. 🤝
I’m warning everyone: if Tetairoa Mcmillan is drafted by the Saints, I will hype him up while continuing my Mike Evans slander.

I used to think the gimmick for the wrestler “Kamala” was funny. My dad would play along, imitating the more benign aspects of the gimmick. But then one day he calmly broke down all the racism.

7-year-old me was radicalized at that point. 😂
"I use to like Monday Night Raw. But then I just realized it was just like White Conservative. Kinda like drag"

KennieJD saying this really made me realise why I stopped caring for wrasslin. I could not go back once I realized how conservative the whole culture of it was.

I remember thinking he was the Suns’ next young star and then he was just gone.
Hard to overstate how wild an NBA experience Dumas had:

Suspended for 91-92 season for substance abuse, played in Israel

Joined the Suns in 92-93, scored 16 ppg, made All-Rookie, helped Suns make the Finals

Back to rehab after that season, only played 54 more NBA gms in his career
January 22, 1993: Richard Dumas of the Suns dunks on Washington's Pervis Ellison.

Dumas scored a team-high 26 PTS (including 18 PTS in the fourth quarter) and Charles Barkley scored 21 PTS for Phoenix in a 122-115 win. Ellison scored a game-high 27 PTS for the Bullets.

Seconds after Andrews dropped that conversion I muttered to myself, “F****n’ Jared Cook…”
If people were as traumatized by the Saints as I am, what Mark Andrews just did would be known as pulling a Jared Cook

I’m Black. Every morning I wake up, I step outside of my “echo chamber”.
Opinion - The problem with Bluesky: It won’t broaden our horizons: In the wake of Donald Trump’s election win, the social-media platform has enjoyed a surge of new users looking for an alternative to Elon Musk’s X. But will it be useful, if it just creates an echo chamber for the left?
