Adam Silver has a disturbing track record of fixating on relatively small stuff bc the media talks about it, while ignoring or defending real warning flags with the most insane justifications.

Adam Silver has a disturbing track record of fixating on relatively small stuff bc the media talks about it, while ignoring or defending real warning flags with the most insane justifications.
The only viable way to de-incentivize losing is to eliminate the draft. Every other proposal would still be game-able by teams desperate for a top pick, or would have unintended consequences that are more destructive than the current situation.
The NBA should consider not incentivizizing losing if they would like teams to try to win every game.

There are very few truly incompetent front offices in the NBA right now. Like, probably 2, maybe 3.
That means there are almost no trades that are unequivocally good or bad. Almost every deal is "wait and see".

I think the JJJ trade was fine for both sides, but man I feel terrible for Grizzlies fans. Their FO did so much right to put together a team that won 56 games while being one of the youngest squads in the NBA. Now, less than 4 yrs later, we're here.

I think the JJJ trade was fine for both sides, but man I feel terrible for Grizzlies fans. Their FO did so much right to put together a team that won 56 games while being one of the youngest squads in the NBA. Now, less than 4 yrs later, we're here.

The lower-leg injuries are a big concern. The performance when healthy isn't.
