April 14, 1993: Chicago Bulls fan Don Calhoun attends his first Bulls game in three years and throws in a 75-foot shot that wins him $1,000,000.

Per Sports Illustrated, Calhoun was selected to shoot because a Bulls employee felt his “suede hiking boots wouldn’t scuff the court."
February 19, 1992: Golden State's Tim Hardaway finishes with 43 PTS (14-25 FG)/7 AST/3 STL in a 117-112 win over Boston.

Also for the Warriors, Chris Mullin scored 27 PTS (10-16 FG) and Šarūnas Marčiulionis scored 23 PTS. Reggie Lewis scored a team-high 30 PTS for the Celtics.

February 19, 1994: Dennis Rodman finishes with 13 PTS/26 REB and David Robinson adds 19 PTS/12 REB/7 AST/5 BLK in the Spurs' 100-96 win over the Heat.

It was the league-leading 38th victory of the season for San Antonio (38-14). Steve Smith scored 24 PTS to lead Miami.

February 19, 2005: Josh Smith of the Atlanta Hawks wins the Sprite Rising Stars Slam Dunk contest at NBA All-Star Weekend in Denver.

Smith defeated the Phoenix Suns' Amar'e Stoudemire in the finals. Other competitors were the New Orleans Hornets' J.R. Smith and Chris Andersen.

Hill finished with 24 PTS/8 REB/7 AST and Lindsey Hunter scored 25 PTS in the Pistons' 100-85 win. Juwan Howard had 25 PTS (12-19 FG)/10 REB and Tracy Murray scored 15 PTS off the bench for Washington.

Iverson had 25 PTS/6 AST/8 STL as the 11th-ranked Hoyas snapped the #3 Huskies’ 23-game win streak with a 77-65 win at a sold-out USAir Arena.

Olajuwon finished with 14 PTS/7 REB/5 BLK, Otis Thorpe had 20 PTS/18 REB, and Vernon Maxwell scored 25 PTS in the Rockets' 106-88 win over the Phoenix Suns.

February 18, 1986: Alvin Robertson of the San Antonio Spurs becomes the 2nd player in NBA history to record a quadruple-double (20 PTS/11 REB/10 AST/10 STL).

Nate Thurmond, Hakeem Olajuwon and David Robinson are the only other players to have accomplished the statistical feat.

The next day, Wallace was traded to Detroit—where he played 45 games before winning an NBA championship with the Pistons.

Stackhouse scored 22 PTS but Detroit lost to the Mavericks, 106-97. Dirk Nowitzki had 22 PTS/12 REB to lead the Mavs.

While coaching the San Antonio Spurs in the 1970s, Moe allowed players to bring dogs to shootarounds "so when they'd pee on the floor he'd have an excuse to go play golf."

Williams finished with 12 PTS/5 AST in just his 7th career NBA game, and Kings teammate Chris Webber had 23 PTS/14 REB in a 109-106 win. Payton led the SuperSonics with 34 PTS/10 AST.

February 17, 1989: Rory Sparrow's game-winning buzzer beater clinches the 6th win in Heat franchise history, a 103-102 victory over the Charlotte Hornets.

Sparrow made the final three field goals of the game for Miami, including a 3-pointer with 1:17 remaining to tie it at 100.
