April 14, 1993: Chicago Bulls fan Don Calhoun attends his first Bulls game in three years and throws in a 75-foot shot that wins him $1,000,000.

Per Sports Illustrated, Calhoun was selected to shoot because a Bulls employee felt his “suede hiking boots wouldn’t scuff the court."
November 10, 1992: Orlando rookie Shaquille O’Neal finishes with 35 PTS/13 REB/3 BLK in his 3rd career (regular season) NBA game.

November 10, 1981: Philadelphia's Julius Erving had 28 PTS/11 REB/6 AST and Darryl Dawkins added 15 PTS/12 REB in the 76ers' 95-93 win at Detroit.

Rookie point guard Isiah Thomas led the Pistons with 25 PTS/8 AST/4 STL and Kent Benson added 12 PTS/16 REB.

November 10, 1992: San Antonio coach Jerry Tarkanian gets his first (of nine career) NBA head coaching wins.

David Robinson had 29 PTS/10 BLK/9 REB and Dale Ellis scored 23 PTS for the Spurs in a 104-98 win over Milwaukee. Alvin Robertson and Brad Lohaus each scored 19 PTS for the Bucks.

November 10, 1989: The Timberwolves get their first win in franchise history—a 125-118 overtime victory over Philadelphia in the Metrodome.

Tony Campbell scored 38 PTS and Tyrone Corbin added 36 PTS/13 REB for Minnesota (1-3). Charles Barkley scored 31 PTS for the 76ers (1-2).

November 10, 1987: Washington's Muggsy Bogues drills his first career NBA 3-point shot—from 60 feet away.

Bogues had 11 AST and Moses Malone added 16 PTS/14 REB but the Bullets lost at Milwaukee, 115-100. The Bucks' Randy Breuer had 22 PTS/16 REB and Paul Pressey scored 24 PTS.

November 10, 1994: New York's Patrick Ewing hits a game-winning baseline jumper with 2.4 seconds left against Orlando.

Ewing scored 24 PTS (11-17 FG) in 26 minutes of the Knicks' 101-99 victory. Shaquille O'Neal had 41 PTS/17 REB and Anfernee Hardaway added 27 PTS for the Magic.

November 10, 1999: The Charles Barkley/Shaquille O’Neal fight.

Both players were ejected and suspended for one game without pay. O'Neal was fined $10,000 for throwing a punch. Barkley was fined $5,000 for throwing the basketball at Shaq.

November 9, 1969: In the midst of the Knicks' 23-1 season start, Dave DeBusschere suffers a broken nose after being hit (inadvertently) by Rick Roberson's fist in the 3rd quarter of a win over the Lakers.

For the next few games, DeBusschere wore a mask made of tape and plastic.

November 9, 1994: After referee Tim Donaghy called an offensive foul on the Pacers' Reggie Miller with 9.2 seconds to go in the game, fans litter the Market Square Arena floor with cups, ice and other debris.

The game was delayed for 10 minutes. Houston won at Indiana, 109-104.

November 9, 1989: Milwaukee defeats Seattle, 155-154, in FIVE overtimes.

Ricky Pierce scored 36 PTS (15-21 FG) off the Bucks bench before fouling out. Dale Ellis scored 53 PTS in an NBA record 69 minutes played, and Xavier McDaniel added 37 PTS/13 REB/6 AST for the SuperSonics.

Each was ejected and fined $7,500. Moses Malone and Charles Barkley of Philadelphia were fined $3,500 and $1,000 for their roles in the fight.

Bird scored 42 PTS (17-23 FG) in a 130-119 Celtics win. Barkley finished with 27 PTS for the 76ers.

Mashburn scored 21 PTS and teammate Jim Jackson had 37 PTS/10 REB but Dallas fell to the Nuggets, 115-107. Dikembe Mutombo recorded a triple-double (12 PTS/14 REB/11 BLK) and Rodney Rogers scored 28 PTS for Denver.

November 7, 1997: Shaquille O'Neal slam dunks a half-court lob from Nick Van Exel in the Lakers' 99-94 win over the Knicks.

O'Neal had 17 PTS in his 1997-98 season debut (he'd served a one-game suspension for slapping Greg Ostertag). Patrick Ewing had 29 PTS/14 REB for New York.

Stackhouse scored a game-high 29 PTS and Michael Jordan added 25 PTS (9-14 FG) off the bench in the Wizards' 100-99 win. Kobe Bryant scored 27 PTS to lead Los Angeles.

November 8, 1994: In his 3rd NBA game, Detroit rookie Grant Hill slams home a Lindsey Hunter lob pass (with Kevin Harlan on the call).

Hill scored 22 PTS and Joe Dumars had a game-high 40 PTS (10-18 3P) in a 126-112 Pistons win over Minnesota. Christian Laettner scored 24 PTS for the Timberwolves.
