Those queer people SUFFERED. And they still went out. They found joy. They fell in love. Not because there was nothing to fear, but in spite of the fear.

Because if you give into fear, you give up your freedom. You’re obeying in advance.

The US used to have free to low tuition until schools couldn't discriminate based on race
Countries with free tuition: Germany, France, Denmark, Czech Rep, Sweden, Uruguay, Turkey, Taiwan, Iceland, Austria, Finland, Greece, Egypt, India, Norway, Brazil, Argentina, Kenya, Luxemb., Slovenia, Mexico.

Something about the next generation being the future of the country, I guess.
I was a first-gen, working-class Black student who took on student loans to get here.

This GOP budget would've slammed that door shut on me—and now it will for future generations.

We should be expanding access to college, not widening the achievement and racial wealth gap.

The President of the United States engaged in insider trading, and laughed about it.

He is not exempt from the law.

I was at the protest in Algonquin, at the far west end of the District! Some McHenry County voters invited me.

It’s a traditionally red county so often gets overlooked by Dems, but over 3,000 people came! This line went on for at least a half-mile:

it's actually ok to say something like "protests looked really cool, sorry i did not attend" rather than twisting your whole worldview into one where protests are useless and posting about how everyone at them is a mark. a few million people got out there and yelled and sang and danced. that's neat!

Day in day out, Israel is adding war crime to war crime, with the world looking for something 'new' to worry about. We are running the danger of becoming de-sensitised. Resistance now takes more than to condemn the genocide. We must also oppose the de-sensitisation of our souls!

We are “aww those poor people”. Meanwhile disability can happen to anyone at any moment and those injustices you ignored? They become your experiences too

We will not let this administration trample our constitutional rights and silence voices they don’t like.
