And another one gone! After a 6.5 year hiatus post-heart transplant and subsequent double amputation, I’ve made two tops start to finish (I.e., sent to my longarmer) in the past month. It feels great to be creating again and figuring out how to make it work as a #onearmedquilter #quilt #amputee

Is there a term yet for the anger and frustration you feel when typing out a perfect Faberge egg of a comment only to accidentally delete it or have it fail to post, so you have to either try to recreate perfection, post an inferior version, or just give up? Surely French or German has something.

I’m back, baybee! This is the first quilt top I’ve made since I lost my right arm and leg. Start to finish I did everything except cutting the initial 5” squares. Bit by bit I’m learning ways to adapt the process and finding the right tools for me. #quilt #quilter #amputee #onearmedquilter

I keep trying to write something eloquent and just being tired.
History matters. Philosophy matters. Languages and literature matter. Indigenous studies matter. Arts and humanities and social sciences matter. All of them.

If only the Hunter Biden pardon were the beginning of a Dark Brandon redux.

I have to think there are steps the Biden administration could take in the next 50 days to protect Americans and our foreign allies from what’s ahead—legal, reasonable steps.

I know some are being taken, but doubt all are.

I just don’t understand why, as an adult, no one is giving me a personal pan size pizza everytime I read ten books. 🤔

This is perhaps the only time I’ve ever felt joy while seeing Jacob Rees-Mogg’s face
I, for example, called him the harrowing result of a bout of hate sex between a Dalek and a pendulum.

I’m not sure a poem has ever spoken to me more than this one by Trista Mateer. “Times are tough / but I’m a fucking nightmare.”

Some days Artemis decides what I’m watching and how much of the screen I’m allowed to see. It’s still better than the time she hard rebooted my computer or the time she knocked it off the desk, breaking all major components. I can only imagine what she’d accomplish if she used her powers for good.
