I'm glad Keir Starmer has listened to our calls for this inquiry following the Reform Russian bribery scandal.

Nigel Farage should be the first to give evidence.
🚨 BREAKING: Keir Starmer has launched a formal investigation into foreign election interference

It comes after former Reform UK Welsh Leader Nathan Gill was sentenced to over 10 years in prison last month for making pro-Russia statements for bribes

Farage's protégés, colleagues & close friends.
Not sure shouting "Bernard Manning" like a closing time drunk will help much here.
Three more British MEPs in Nigel Farage’s bloc now alleged to have “followed the script” given to Nathan Gill by an alleged Russian asset, according to prosecutors.

At least eight UKIP and Brexit Party MPs were focus of efforts by Nathan Gill

An investigation into Russian interference in our politics is long overdue. And we all know who should be questioned first.

Today the former head of Reform in Wales, Nathan Gill, will be sentenced for taking bribes from Russia. Needless to say, I hardly knew him, let alone the wife of the Russian he paid bribes to.

As we move into “foreigners are cancelling Christmas in the name of political correctness” season it’s worth remember that Christmas was indeed once banned in England, by Christians and the man who enforced the ban has a statue in his honour outside the Houses of Parliament.

John Major, "Our links to Europe and America may be loser now than once they were and that is a loss"

"The loss of trade with Europe alone costs us £100 billion of lost trade every year"

"That's a tax yield of £40 billion"

"How useful would that have been in recent months to the Chancellor?"

Yes - On average, after 15 years, GDP per head tends to be 10% lower in countries run by populist leaders than in similar economies with more mainstream regimes
Do populists always crash the economy?
Argentina is counting the cost of its turn to Javier Milei. Politicians from Donald Trump to Giorgia Meloni and Nigel Farage will be closely watching what happens next

‘The threat couldn’t be more urgent and imminent. Yet here we are, still putting our head in the sand.’

@carolecadwalla.bsky.social says it’s ‘peculiar’ that the case of Farage ally Nathan Gill admitting to making pro-Russia speeches for cash isn’t being followed more closely.

Apropos of nothing, I really do think UK journalists and politicians need some reminding that mass deportation of LEGAL immigrants, particularly those with permanent status, is far more extreme than even Trump's America and would basically place Britain completely on its own among democracies.

This is the man the BBC elevated & is refusing to investigate despite @carolecadwalla.bsky.social l & @bylinetimes.bsky.social
having done all the work for them .
Do we have a precedent for a this ? A national broadcaster ignoring possible treason , isn’t that in itself sort of treasonous 🥴 ?
Seems @Nigel_Farage is trying damage limitation on the Reform Russian Bribes scandal.

He’s known Nathan Gill for 20 years, and claims he knew nothing.

No one believes you, Nigel.

Keep the story moving. Questions must be answered.

Just to be clear:
- Paracetamol does not cause autism.
- Sadiq Khan is not introducing Sharia law in the UK
- We do not have a massive free speech problem here.
- Britain is not on the verge of civil war.
These are not controversial subjects or contested, they're just not true.

The far-right mob in London paled into insignificance compared to our Remain marches. Especially the one in 2018. Between 700,000 and a million people turned out. The Labour front bench stayed away. They also ignored its message. But the voters who took part in it haven't disappeared.

The BBC are constantly fawning over Farage's every move despite Reform only having four MPs. Our national broadcaster should reflect the whole country, not just one man’s ego.

Angela Rayner accidentally pays less tax than she should have, resigns, and the media gives her hell.

Nigel Farage deliberately pays less tax than he should have, and the media gives him a free pass.

That, right there, is the problem.

Nigel Farage is once again showing his true colours as Trump’s spokesman in Britain.

Zelensky has shown true courage, while Farage just licks Trump’s boots. It's clearer than ever that Nigel is simply out for himself and his masters in Mar-a-Lago
Farage accused of ‘licking Trump’s boots’ for calling Zelensky ‘rude’ in Trump clash
The Reform UK leader blamed the Ukrainian president for having ‘played it very badly’, as well as accusing Mr Zelensky of ‘bowling in and showing no respect’
