Pinned
Man, I love when I piss people off to the extent that they feel the need to come onto my timeline and comment negatively on every post I have made.

Don’t you people have lives? Put on some pants and go touch grass…

Trump administration says nursing isn't a professional degree amid new limits on loans
The new student loan caps take effect in July. Here's what that means for students looking to pursue advanced nursing degrees.

Person: The Fairness Doctrine prevented echo chambers!

Me: No, people have always gotten to choose what information to pay attention to and interact with.

Person: *blocks me thereby creating their own echo chamber*

Way to prove my point, dude.

This is an incredible cause if you can contribute.

Because people apparently don’t know how social media works and are incapable of following threads to their starting points:

No, I don’t think Tylenol causes autism.
No, Tylenol cannot sue Trump & RFK, Jr. for defamation.
No, Tylenol should not file a counter suit in TX.

Yep. “Working” is a key word in the phrase “the working poor”.

If a business could not afford its power bill, or its inventory, or any other non-human element, no one would be excusing that.

Why is it okay that businesses don’t have to pay the actual cost of labor?
Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

“Crime free” laws suck.
A couple of years ago, a client of mine was attacked in their apartment by an abusive partner. The police were called. Charges were pressed against the abusive partner, who later pleaded guilty.
The landlord filed an eviction action against Client for *allowing* a crime to occur in their unit.

There are other ways you can make your voice heard if you don't feel safe protesting or are otherwise unable to physically do so. That being said, protesting is a right of all Americans under the First Amendment. Here's what to know:

What the fuck is wrong with people?

There should be no hungry children at school because they are children and we are supposed to be civilized.

We feed inmates because they are inmates. Starving them would not be an excuse to starve children. (And again, we are supposed to be civilized.)

The number of people who think we need to bring shit like this back is astoundingly high - and most of them would fail it.

(Full disclosure: I am a highly educated/knowledgeable individual and I failed more than 1 question.)

Pop Quiz!

Every American should know the basics of our Founding, don’t you agree?

The history, and the Constitution itself?

Well, to make sure you know it, and as part of my virtual Democracy Academy, let me give you a quick pop quiz.

No. Fox News hiring an actor to pretend to be an ex-whatever is not fraud.

While fraud does require a false statement of fact, it also requires a reliance on that statement and a harm *to the person relying on the statement* caused by that reliance.

And no, believing lies is not a qualifying harm.
