My dream news team: @macfarlanenews.bsky.social and @kylec.bsky.social

I would watch TV news again (haven't watched since 2015) if they were on together.

Full set off thermals. Two shirts. Sweatshirt. Thickest mittens plus two hand warmers in each. Hat. Hood. Husband's jacket to fit over all of this, then his hood atop my hat and hood.

The freezing rain started just a few minutes after I started shoveling. Got the sidewalk and a path to the sidewalk

OK time to go out and do round 1 of the shoveling before the freezing rain starts at about 10.

Rumor has it that the Washington Post is not going to send reporters to the Olympics, may close its entire sports department and internation department.

Maybe he will put the carcass up for sale and Mackenzie Scott will buy it and restore it.

There’s More to Greg Bovino’s Coat Than You Think
The head of Border Patrol isn’t referencing the Nazis — but he is sending a message.

It sounds like Bondi was once a decent human being and then got "love-bombed" by FoxNews and the right. Standard cult tactic. But she apparently had an in-born streak of cruelty, refusing to return a dog to a little boy whose parents died in a murder-suicide.

"We need the Fairness Doctrine back but I am not going to allow anyone to comment." FYI, Empyrae, the Fairness Doctrine never applied to news reporting so bringing it back would have no effect on this situation.

If you are going to argue for restoring the Fairness Doctrine but then you block anyone who disagrees with you or offers a differing point of view...

then maybe you don't really understand the Fairness Doctrine.

About this Sascha Riley and Epstein Island bullshit that is apparently being spread by a tik tok person named Julie Cappiello (not doxxing her; her name is on her account and linktree). Epstein did not own the island until 1998 and Riley never talked about being on the island. Receipts below.

If you repost BS, you are spreading BS.

I don't care that YOU didn't create the BS.

You are spreading it.

This thread has superb analysis by Bellingcat. It is early; it will no doubt get even clearer as they continue their analysis.

Federal law enforcement agents shot and killed a man in Minneapolis on Jan. 24 according to local police officials. DHS told Fox News that the man was “armed with a gun”. A video of the shooting appears to show that a gun was taken from the man before the first shot was fired. x.com/BillMelugin_...

The difference between good people and MAGA:

If their rights are being trampled and they are being killed, we fight for them.

If the rights of good people are being trampled and they are being killed, MAGA rejoices.

We all saw it.
The man was on the ground.
He was no threat to anyone.
They murdered him.

What will be their excuse this time?

C'mon Trish, how will you explain this one?

You fucking cuntl.

“We’re going to take them off the streets wholesale,” Bovino said at a Friday news conference. “It’s on. We won’t quit.”

He needs to learn the hard way.

Feeling terrrible. We had to shut off the pump for the pond & stream because the water had frozen. It will have to stay off for several days because it won't get above freezing.

Dozens and dozens of birds are coming in to find water and finding only ice. This is when they really need water.
January 24, 2026 at 4:12 PM
OK. Car tarped with bottom folded up so it won't get buried in snow. Weighted down with bricks that should hold if it doesn't get too windy. Tall Muck boots & shovel right at back door. I think I'm as prepared as I can be.

There’s a huge funding gap for water infrastructure in the U.S., said Gary Belan, a senior director with American Rivers, an environmental organization that advocates for clean waterways.

Stop funding ICE and Argentina. Fund critical infrastructure in the U.S.
