As I said earlier today, chants in support of a terrorist organization have no place in our city. We will continue to ensure New Yorkers’ safety entering and exiting houses of worship as well as the constitutional right to protest.

On day 8 of our Administration, @governor.ny.gov and I announced the beginning of universal childcare in NYC. No longer will New Yorkers be forced to choose between starting a family and continuing to live in the city they love. This only happened because of you.

Full of admiration for the brave protesters in Iran - and concern for their safety under such a repressive and violent regime. UK Government must work with partners to support the right to peaceful protest and accountability for the authorities.

Quite right of @bengoldsborough.bsky.social to call out Reform MPs cashing in on Twitter👇🏻
X is paying Reform UK MPs while its AI produces sexually explicit images of children and women, the public deserves answers.

Will they return the money they’ve earned from the platform? 1/6

The level of quixoticism at this point is like Kemi Badenoch spending all day trying to win over Your Party voters. What part of ‘no’ does Blue Labour not understand?
1% of Reform UK voters have a favourable opinion of the Labour Party, compared to 98% seeing it unfavourably, including 89% who view the party *very* unfavourably.

Conservative voters are more sympathetic.
Only Reform voters can save Labour

I’m calling on Ofcom to restrict UK access to Elon Musk’s X until the platform puts an end to the production of sickening abusive AI images. A line has been crossed & it’s time for the regulator to show it has some teeth. Honestly, I can’t believe the government hasn’t acted. It beggars belief.

Otherwise - presumably - Reform MPs are happy to cash in on a website that allows users to make abusive images of children.
Liberal Democrats have urged Reform UK MPs who receive payment from X for their posts to donate the money to charities working to combat sexual exploitation, after the site was flooded with AI-generated sexualised images of women and children.

Should the Dept of Education put schoolchildren on a site where this is now the norm/culture, not a surprise or exception? Now surrounded by porn, bots & racists too.

The Public Sector Equality Duty says no. For reasons of inertia, fame/£ & political class groupthink, different rules for Elon Musk
How government engagement on X works. A wholly typical post and a wholly typical reply.

If a human was being paid to create this material, we’d rightly throw the book at them. So why should X get a free pass?

Fine them to the hilt and if they won’t comply, shut it down. We wouldn’t tolerate this offline. Why online?

“Well, that’s fine then! As long as people only pay for illegal sexually explicit AI images of real people via Grok on X: all perfectly acceptable, right?” What a relief. Nothing to see here. 🙄

Apparently this is what ‘responsibility’ looks like now.

Daily users on X

May 2023: 9.5m
May 2024: 8.6m (-0.9m)
May 2025: 6.9m (-1.7m)

This msy go below 6m by Spring 2026, though LinkedIn around 5m, so would need a year as bad as 2024-25

But down 30% in 24 months, 2023-25, while Reddit doubled to 7m/day and 29.4m per month (10m ahead of Twitter!)

Monthly users on X
May 2023: 24.3m
May 2024: 22.1m (-2.1m)
May 2025: 18.9m (-1.8m)

On this trajectory, the monthly X users in the UK could easily dip below 18m now & so may fall behind surprisingly high monthly users of LinkedIn (18.4m in 2025) by May 2026!

Maduro was a dictator.

But let's not pretend Trump cares about democracy.

He cozies up to dictators all over the world when it suits him.

Trump has been clear: he wants Venezuela’s oil.

That’s not democracy. That’s imperialism.

We're engaging with Reform voters because they're fed up with the system - and right to be.

But instead of more division, we need to invest in communities and stop the super rich screwing us over.

Crazy that this is the dividing lines of America politics.
Fascists vs Democrats.
AOC: “I understand that VP Vance believes shooting a young mother of three in the face three times is an acceptable America that he wants to live in, & I do not — That is a fundamental difference between VP Vance & I — I do not believe the American people should be assassinated in the street”

How does the government show its gratitude? By making it harder for them to live and work in the UK.

I have written to the Home Secretary urging them to reverse these changes and support care workers instead!

I need major figures to stop suggesting that a lack of training is why ICE murdered a person yesterday. Noem has said that the agent did exactly what he was trained to do.

The problem is that this regime has promised ICE agents "absolute immunity" for their actions. They have no accountability.
