Yesterday, we hosted a watch party for the Africa Cup of Nations final at Surrogate’s Court near City Hall. Fans of all ages packed the room — the energy was incredible. It may have been Senegal and Morocco playing, but it was NYC through it all.

86% of our UK arms imports come from the United States.

We are far too reliant on Donald Trump - he is unpredictable and dangerous.

Stop hoping it's going to go away. Time to stand up to the bully and to rebuild our relationships outside of the USA.

70 years ago, the Thames was declared “biologically dead”.

Now it’s thriving with life, with everything from harbour porpoises to wading birds.

Proof that when we choose long-term action, London’s nature prospers.
River Thames cleaner but at risk from climate change, report says - BBC News
A report finds the river is in good condition, but experts warn of climate change threat.

Sadly FIFA have shown themselves to be completely corrupt time and time again.
Whether giving made up peace prizes to Donald Trump or allowing countries with terrible human rights records or history of violating international law to play.
I know I certainly wouldn't feel safe going to the World Cup.
Trump’s a misogynist, his hateful, xenophobic and dangerous rhetoric was allowed to go unchecked and like all bullies his behaviour got worse.

And this is why the very rigid view that some have that to win you need to shift closer to the opposition(eg. Labour -> Reform) is just not really true.
Winning votes from non-voters is massively underestimated, perhaps shown through Corbyn 2017 very well, although he didn't win ofc.
This is happening in UK wide polls too.
There is is something very important to bear in mind when looking at Reform's drop in the polls in Wales.

Yes, their vote share has dropped...BUT... this doesn't mean that fewer people are supporting them...

This is very true.
I'm realistically in this category too.
If asked in a poll, I'd say I'd vote Green, but in the right seat, that's not necessarily true.
So, yeah, as usual, polling = pinch of salt and all that stuff.
That’s a good point. Technically I am a don’t know as I will be tactically voting to keep Reform out , whoever is the best option .

So there it is, in his own words.

Trump writes to the prime minister of Norway informing him that as a consequence of not receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, “I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of peace”.

A dangerous man-child.

The UK was better off in the EU and Europe was better off with the UK in it.

All of this Trump driven chaos underlines that and you can practically hear Putin rubbing his hands in Moscow.

We've spent ten years being proved right about all the things the loudest, biggest voices in the UK media insisted, often obnoxiously, we were wrong about. The real kicker is that there's no consolation whatsoever in being correct. Brexit, Putin, Johnson, Truss, Trump, Twitter, Netanyahu etc etc...

For well over a decade, Nigel Farage criticised Davos and just two years ago criticised Starmer for going and calling him a

So, question. Where do you think Nigel Farage is going today?

Deeply weird and menacing scenes in Minneapolis. ICE agents sat in masks and balaclavas in unmarked, often blacked out cars, watching local residents. They themselves being observed by a network of locals, trying to deter them from mounting raids. Profoundly abnormal.
