I’d just add that several US citizens detained by the feds during protests—people never charged with a crime—also had dna samples collected and presumably catalogued. For what purpose, idk.
This isn’t “just border security.” It’s DNA surveillance. Reports show DHS/CBP have collected DNA from migrants, including children, and uploaded profiles into the FBI’s criminal DNA database (CODIS).

And state police are now helping border patrol to combat and arrest protesters.
