My first weathergram! On scratchy brown paper.

Today's too windy for me to get a photo of it in action, but it's been installed on the porch.

I quit Canvas this semester, print out readings for my students, and we're doing great!
As a 3rd generation academic, my family has been teaching continuously since the 1950s and only the last 20 years involved Learning Management Systems. They’re by no means necessary to the project of learning, and if they demand surrendering autonomy to corporations then they should be discontinued.

Today I had my first-ever in-person #calligraphy lesson and I came prepared with all kinds of verses in my head to inscribe and instead I spent two hours making o's and e's and s's, and I cannot remember when I have felt so mentally exhausted.

An actual hot take: Too many authors are afraid of editors watering down their voice or whatever and not afraid enough of editors letting you put any old slop on the page.

Hi @npr.org! We worked late tonight putting together this handy pocket guide!

It doesn't address road design issues, but if we're going to educate road users, we should include drivers.

It's the size of a folded business card. Print it, fold it, put it in your wallet!

Becoming increasingly clear we’re gonna have to build a parallel infrastructure for all the media we really love. The reason all of this is happening under the color of law is hyperconsolidation, dissent being traded straight up for merger approval, or fear of harassment.
