I think it’s important to share and boost these ethical policies when we hear about them, since a main argument of many AI bulls is “good or bad, AI is here to stay” and that’s just not supported by evidence of uptake.
We have decided to ban the use of GenAI for research, writing & creative work at our organization.
In fact, we make people sign an agreement saying that their research, analysis, writing, and creative work are *theirs* and not done by GenAI.

It goes far beyond LGBTQIA++ books. They are digging deep into libraries, including the Library of Congress, national archives, & the Smithsonian, museums, schools, textbooks, state & local govts., etc., and purging them of all things "objectionable", or that show our history in a bad light.
