Some days might feel like a test more than others - other days it will be easier to rise to the challenge.

Sometimes we need to rest💤heal ❤️‍🩹and preserve our strength 💪 - which is always a valid option. When in doubt - give the soul rest, art and #clouds

Holy shit! You’ve got to see this town hall. Republicans are starting to get torn apart by their own constituents.

Rep. Rich McCormick: “You don’t think I’m going to stand up for you?”

Woman in the crowd: “You need to stand up.”

Another woman: “Don’t bend over.” 🔥

If you’ve been scolded by the Pope AND by the Auschwitz Memorial in the same week, it’s time to take a minute and reconsider your choices.
Hey @JDVance, and @elonmusk, and @realDonaldTrump it looks like the Auschwitz Memorial wants to educate you.

STOP LYING TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

"Stay sane, stay humane, and don't isolate... Staying connected, not isolating, and not allowing yourself to drown in fear or rage is not submitting in advance." This is a really good piece. 👇

Crucial thing you must do right now is strengthen and expand your community. Serve together. Try a new activity. See each other in person. Over on the other site I am continually struck by how the rabid intensity does not actually reflect community or connection. Only way we get through this.

Encyclopædia Britannica will continue to use ‘Gulf of Mexico’ for a few reasons:

-We serve an international audience, a majority of which is outside the U.S.

-The Gulf of Mexico is an international body of water, and the U.S.’s authority to rename it is ambiguous.

Obedience is good. We like to see obedience to court orders. I'm perfectly fine with the trumpitistas criticizing the orders, calling for them to be overturned on appeal, and even accusing the judges of political bias, so long as they also damn well obey them.

We need to review some basic civics and counter the growing MAGA chorus that feels the president is entitled to disobey federal court orders. My piece delves into why and how the White House is thinking twice. Read my write-up: https://buff.ly/4htB4fQ

A quick resistance task:
1. Google Gulf of Mexico
2. “Gulf of America" is the top
3. Click on the three little dots to the right of it
4. Select "Send Feedback"
5. Click on "Gulf Of America"
6. Select "Inaccurate content"
7. Select "Incorrect" and type in "The correct name is “Gulf of Mexico"

Folks were asking which MoCs did make the commitment on the spot. Celebrate these leaders!
Sen. Warren
Sen. Van Hollen
Rep. Waters
Rep. Pallone
Rep. Pressley
Rep. Cleaver
Rep. Beatty
Rep. Velázquez
Rep. Ansari
Rep. Foster
Rep. Simon
Rep. Amo
Rep. Meeks
Rep. Balint
Rep. Magaziner
Rep. Raskin
Only one Rep, Brad Sherman, declined to commit on the spot. He said he'd have to see the bill. The crowd didn't like that. They chanted back "WITHHOLD YOUR VOTE." If Sherman comes over to our side, we should welcome him. But until he does, I hope he gets the same question from his constituents.
