But I agree most Americans are either in denial or have no idea what is happening. It is all surreal to me. Personally, I am so consumed by it all that I need to find hope in the small acts of resistance I see from those in power, even if they are small.

I agree, and personally I'm doing all I can and so are many others. Believe me that so many are disgusted by the lack of fight in our representatives. There are a lot of us every day people though who are fighting back.

Doesn't mean I don't acknowledge the utterly horrible position we are in and that I'm not resisting in every way I can. I also need to find hope in every small act of resistance, though. We are on the same side here.

I hear you. I am terrified by what I am seeing and I am consumed by it. I am well aware of how dangerous things are and that we are in the scariest position we have ever been in as a country. I still will take any small act of resistance, especially from those I least expect it from.

Any bit of pushback is positive news right now.
