I know we keep making this point, but if you were big mad about the "Twitter Files" but haven't spoken a word about this administration's threats against international students, immigrants, and permanent residents, you're morally and intellectually bankrupt and should never be taken seriously again.

I keep thinking about the Matthew Desmond figure on how much it would cost to pull Americans out of poverty: ~175 billion. The 148 billion Musk is reported to have lost could have made SO MANY LIVES BETTER. Instead it's evaporated into the ether of him being a hateful dick, loathed by millions.
