The difference between doing a project and presenting it. An observation can lead to many avenues of explorations before focus turns to a specific discovery. Presenting it, in a talk / paper, follows inversely, with broad perspectives coming before & after the specific discovery.

A modest proposal: “Quadratic ticketing.” Fines increase with the square of prior offenses—eg, 1st: $25, 2nd: $100, 3rd: $225, 4th: $400—creating strong incentives to avoid repeat violations. Penalizes chronic offenders who are typically the most dangerous while avoiding harsh fines for majority.
Helsinki (pop 657,000) has not had a single traffic death during the last twelve months.

Rural hospitals would not just be affected by restrictions on Medicaid provider taxes in the One Big Beautiful Bill. They would also be affected by a projected 10.9 million people losing health coverage from Medicaid and ACA cuts more broadly.

We use the #SugarPixel. That thing is brilliant. It’s not just the look, but the random beep generator as an alert really does work and wake you up despite “beep fatigue”. I couldn’t recommend it enough.
