After @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social’s win, all the other democrats now feel like the past somehow.

My husband @j4vi.com said there should be moms and dads for @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social called MOMdanis and MamDADDIES.

So I was watching The Jetsons with my kid the other day. Jane says she is 33 while her daughter is 15. Which means she had her daughter when she was 18. This cartoon was made in 1962. That is all.

I felt sad looking back at my old tweets. I had some pretty good ones and now that place is dead/abandoned. Someone told me I should port them over here. And then re-post?? With incorrect dates? I don’t get it. If anyone’s been thinking similarly, I’d love to know.

The good news is my kid can drink from an open mouth cup. The bad news is it was bath water.

I wish product pages told you which color most people bought. I always leave things in cart because I can’t decide on the color.

I’d like to recommend the Drain Weasel for all your drain clog needs. I was thinking of calling a plumber which would’ve cost me ~$100 but instead had success with this for only $7!

Weather apps should *feel* accurate. For example, this week’s forecast on Apple Weather feels misrepresented. This is not the experience at all. It’s partly cloudy all week but the graphics make it look like it’s raining all week.

I feel like mold growing in a washer’s rubber thing is a design flaw.

The thing about reading to your baby is that the book needs to also be fun to read for the adult. Dr. Seuss does this really well.

I find it so sad that daycare backyards are astroturf and not real grass.

Happy 40th Birthday to Carmen Sandiego!

Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego was released on April 23, 1985 by Broderbund. The Almanac it shipped with was updated with each new print run, which gives you an easy way to identify which edition a copy is. But what if you come across a sealed copy?

Here’s my question: Did Rome think they were in a golden age / back again when they fell?
The entire world is shocked. No one can believe how quickly America fell.

3 weeks into being a new parent. My design takeaways so far:

1. More things need to be operable with one hand.

Democrats have too much respect for the voters. They assume they're making complex, nuanced, reasoned decisions and must be approached with care, while Republicans assume voters are simplistic and emotional and you have to pound them over the head with your message. Guess which is more effective.

There is something very sci-fi about pumping breastmilk. Like cows milking themselves.

The key to a clutter-free home is unloading the dishwasher. And the clothes dryer.
