i avoid commenting on celebrity passings due to the parasociality of the thing but David Lynch was an artist’s artist and a reminder to never explain yourself (when you don’t want to). one of the greatest filmmakers to ever do it.

I feel like when people say “80s movies” they mean John Hughes and maybe some Amblin stuff, it’s never like “I love 80s movies do you want have a sleepover and watch The Verdict”

the bluesky for you feed is pretty solid. the twitter one worked for me too, one of the few things I thought still worked pretty consistently well. this one here's good too, the only weird thing is I keep getting posts that are just photos of PlayStation 5 controllers and that's it

It’s rare for a movie from decades ago to still be as scary now as it was when it was released, but this one still knocks me out of my seat every time I watch it

I’m not going to be here all the time (I get more attention on the other place sorry) but I am having to retrain myself to use basic ass features that they took away when they broke Twitter bit by bit. You mean I can just see who liked my posts? Without going to a new page???

Interesting piece of expertise: The first James Bond book was published in 1953. Bogie died in 1957. A four-year window of opportunity for Bogart-as-Bond, that was sadly squandered by Hollywood.

just switched from a pixel to an iphone and overall i’m happy… haven’t used an iphone since the 4s, and i still like the android operating system and everything, but the differences now are small enough it’s not a big deal.
the only problem i have is the android letterboxd app is 100x better
