“What you have, I think, is that the president's fundamentally lost the battle of ideas. What you normally do with an economic program is you come up with some ideas and you try and convince people of the virtues of them. He has fundamentally failed.”

This is the first Thanksgiving for Sophie & Colin Hortman without their parents, Minnesota state Rep. Melissa Hortman and Mark Hortman who were assassinated along with the family dog in an act of political murder. National guards troops were not deployed to the state in response.

It gets lost in the shuffle, but the Speaker of the House is someone who, by all rights, should’ve had his career ended a decade ago by a Shreveport TV news investigative team.
Fond memories of that time Mike Johnson was president of a local law school that never opened its doors, in part because it was attached to a Baptist college that was losing its accreditation, and in part because it was always a scam from the start
Mike Johnson -- who is, yes, theoretically a lawyer -- has not had a chance to look at the American Constitution because he's been very busy lately, folks, he just can't see everything, gosh, how is he supposed to know if it's wrong that the president called for the execution of congress members?

Mike Johnson's official bio says he has "two decades of previous experience in Constitutional law." Yet, when Trump threatens to execute Democratic members of Congress, he suddenly has no opinion.

This is what shameful cowardice does to someone like Johnson and it is how he will be remembered.
Mike Johnson on Trump calling for Democrats to be executed: "Attorneys have to parse the language and determine all that."

Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged.

Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.

There is an email in which Jeffrey Epstein offered a NY Times reporter photos of Donald Trump and “girls in bikinis in my kitchen.”
Kate Bolduan: "The president has not been accused of any crimes or wrongdoing as it relates to Jeffrey Epstein or these files even with these emails being released. That's one thing we need to make clear. There's no accusations of any wrongdoing so far."

Does @davidhogg.bsky.social have any advice for MTG?

All of a sudden gorilla-tactics and terrorizing people isn’t funny.

Sorry MTG. No sympathy from me.

For every ‘business leader’ ‘celebrity’ and company strangely supportive of trump over the years……..

WTF? It’s safe to assume all y’all are in the Epstein files.
At the same time the NY Times was hyping Hillary Clinton's emails, it had a reporter with emails from Jeffrey Epstein that were highly damaging to Trump.

The more NYT apologists try to minimize this the clearer it becomes that they don't understand why much of the public doesn't trust legacy media.
