I’ve just resigned from the Labour Party. I’ve been a member most of my adult life. I put up with all sorts: Chaos. Hopeless leadership. Maurice Glasman. But this despicable new immigration policy is the last straw. I feel no relief, just sadness.

I’m 59 years old and attended my first West Ham game in 1974. I think tonight’s game has finally broken me. Fuck off West Ham. You have no identity or ethos any more. You don’t even have a football ground. That porn baron and his associates have taken everything.

So stupid of Jenrick. Loads of people know about football, and care about the truth, and we know he’s lying. Who on earth does he think this bollocks appeals to?
Jenrick casting 1980s British football hooliganism as something that was easily dealt with by police and not an era defining issue which we're still living with the consequences of today... He's genuinely the most unserious person in British politics rn

Every time I listen to the R4 Today Programme after Trump’s done something dreadful - so almost daily - they have on some obscure Trumpworld sycophant who attempts a ludicrous justification, but they never seem to interview someone with an opposing view. I thought they were all about balance?

🚨 Exclusive 🚨 Ian Rush has put his name to a 90-minute, score-settling, AI musical in the style of Hamilton about his legal battle against a Surrey scaffolding company and a small Wigan law firm, in so doing attacking, among others, Robbie Fowler and Jamie Carragher. 1/7
Good. This isn't rhetoric or hyperbole: On the current trajectory there is simply no way the United States survives a full Trump term as any kind of recognizable liberal democracy. Thinking about how to beat him in 2028 is a waste of time; it will be too late by then.
It seems clear we are seeing the beginnings of a sustained mass protest movement to oust Trump.

Lots of people are saying “if he annexes Canada then the Republicans will never win another election” and I’m worried about their cheerful assumption that there’ll ever be another election.
