The universities expect that the next Dem administration will refund the fines back. It shouldn’t. Take them and create a legal defense fund for institutions and individuals that choose to fight back.
What's to stop the next Democratic administration from extorting these schools right back? And as much as I hate this shit, they probably should. Otherwise, you're creating an incentive ratchet that only moves to the right.

The whole point of Republicans making people jump through hoops to get Medicaid is to kick people off Medicaid. If you find a technological workaround (assuming it even works), they will ban it. The only long-term solution is to elect Democrats and get rid of these administrative burdens.
Why aren't Medicaid expansion states discussing using AI to quickly simplify all qualification and requalification requirements that will cost 10m people their coverage ?
Why aren't Dems pushing solutions that blunt many of the obstacles introduced to reduce coverage ?
