"I did it. I threw the sandwich."
Thomas Paine proposed a top marginal rate of 100%. “There ought to be a limit to property ... The aristocracy has screened itself too much,” he wrote, and this tax would “restore a part of the lost equilibrium.”

The case for taxing billionaires is older than you think
A wealth tax, with a top rate of 100%, is common sense.

The guy who did Jan 6 in front of our eyes got re-elected because eggs were too expensive, and half of the Dem political class had their brain broken and sees anything other than inflation as a distraction.

Did I check in on the LBJ account by mistake?

Also according to the vice-President ~10% of the US population is illegal immigrants?!?

3) We need to blow up minor bullshit like "her emails" on the left into a massive scandal to counterbalance the mountain of corruption the right.
November 13, 2025 at 2:07 AM
HER EEEEEEEEMAILS!!!!!
November 12, 2025 at 10:07 PM
It's about whether or not the media decides to go all-in and give it the round-the-clock "her emails" treatment. The public judges the severity of a scandal by the volume of coverage it gets.

Just ask Mr. Andrew.
November 12, 2025 at 4:57 PM
If that's the case, which I doubt, their messaging is atrocious. How do you go for another shutdown fight after hitting the news shows with the "standing up to Trump didn't work" talking point?
November 11, 2025 at 6:50 PM
Instead they gave the finger to millions who organized, protested, and voted, and went with “Standing up to Trump doesn’t work.”

Fuck. Right. Off.
November 11, 2025 at 3:57 PM
The thing is, they could have at least messaged this better.

“Look, we tried to fight this, but Trump and the Republicans are psychopaths who will starve Americans for tax cuts, and we just can’t allow that. It’s gonna suck for a while, but vote Dems in the midterms and we’ll fix this.”
November 11, 2025 at 3:57 PM
Same sentiment, but staying registered as a Dem so I can vote the folders out in the primaries.
November 11, 2025 at 3:16 PM
Now you're just insulting us.
November 11, 2025 at 3:14 AM
Millions fought, protested, voted, and delivered a Tuesday election blowout. A handful of cowards gave us a finger and that "standing up to Trump doesn't work".

I'm a huge fan, but you need to publicly call for a change in Senate Dem leadership. This is unacceptable.

"What's in the box?" takes on a whole new meaning in this context.

Low info voters don't know the two branches of Congress, let alone who votes for what. All they'll get from this is vibes that "Dems are folders" and conclude both parties suck.
November 10, 2025 at 11:56 PM
SCOTUS is going to force him to do tariff refunds, and he'll pretend it's a policy.
November 10, 2025 at 11:42 PM
McConnell did that by forcing Dems to nuke the filibuster for judicial nominations. Dems got a short-term
win, Reps got a 6-3 SCOTUS.

Are they aware that GOP has the majority in the House and Trump has the veto pen?
November 10, 2025 at 7:20 PM
So they're sticking their neck out so that:
- Senate passes this by at least 60 votes with no poison pills
- gets passed by the House GOP majority
- does not get vetoed by Trump

At this point they think we're stupid.

Call. For. New. Leadership.
November 10, 2025 at 5:46 PM
Publicly call for new Senate leadership please. We will all have more confidence in the fighters when they don’t provide cover for the folders.
