Socialists often present their movement as the main reason for labor rights and benefits today, is this true? : r/AskHistorians

What's going on here @RoostersWorldja?

Just two cool guys and a Jamaican crocodile chilling out at the #HollandBayCrocodileSanctuary.

I hope some local businesses can help with the funding of the operations of the Holland Bay Crocodile Sanctuary. It takes money to care.

The Asterix comics are iconic and loved, so spend some time this #ThrowbackThursday with @jibec.bsky.social learning about their influence and the meaning behind the depiction of the indomitable Gaul’s! Getafix of some brilliant history. #Twitterstorians
Libertat's comment on ""These Romans are crazy!" Asterix may just be the most famous Frenchman internationally. How have the Asterix comics shaped or misrepresented views of Gaulish history, in France and/or abroad?"

We don't have football in Canada. We have a game called "grass hockey," which is not field hockey, soccer, rugby, American football, or lacrosse, but a secret and terrible game. You have to wear ice skates to play it. Every game results in at least three broken ankles. The puck is made of dirt.
