The Government Employee Fair Treatment Act clearly requires that furloughed federal employees receive back pay after a shutdown. This wasn’t partisan when it passed, and it shouldn’t be a question now. Trump is spinning further out of control by the day. (1/2)

Then Creepy Mike Johnson tried to crash a press conference and got exposed for the Epstein cover-up.

It's so important to nip the framing of this reporting in the bud right now.

Don't accept the narrative that Trump and his team only just started discussing invoking the Insurrection Act. January 6 happened because his White House was in conversation with radicals about what it'd take to invoke it.
Trump administration officials seriously discussing invoking Insurrection Act, sources say
A decision isn't expected to be imminent, one source said, but debate within the administration has shifted recently to more deeply exploring how and when the act might be invoked.

It would be bad enough if that’s all ICE did to kids in Chicago

But they also

•Descended on them with Black Hawk helicopters

•Unleashed armed men who broke into their homes in the middle of the night

•Removed them from their families

•Zip-tied them

•And detained them for hours

Unconscionable

One of the reasons the Jack Smith investigations seemed to take forever is because Biden's DoJ *did* have their hands around the evidence before they indicted. And they'd have convicted, too, if it weren't for those pesky SCOTUS fellas. 1/
Hey, you guys? Is it a good sign or a bad sign if the prosecution is just getting its hands around the evidence *after* it criminally charged the former FBI director?
At one point during the hearing, the judge asked the prosecution why the case can’t be tried before mid-December.

Lemons replied: We are “just getting our hands around” discovery in the case.

There’s lots of it, he added, and it includes a “significant” amount of classified information.

SPECIAL REPORT: A large swath of the U.S. currently does not have the basic, ground-level immunity necessary to stop the spread of viruses that had once receded into the past, a six-month NBC News investigation in collaboration with scientists at Stanford University finds.
Data investigation: Childhood vaccination rates are backsliding across the U.S.
A monthslong NBC News data investigation finds that much of the U.S. doesn't have the protection needed to stop the spread of deadly diseases. St. Louis is a window into the problem communities face nationwide.

Aside from the fact that for decades the majority of domestic terrorism incidents have been committed by right wingers, I don't recall any Dems declaring war and insisting that everyone on the right should be killed, which is exactly what the right is doing today over at the bad place.

Thoughts on Trump ordering flags to half-mast for Charlie Kirk but wouldn't even call the Governor of Minnesota after Democratic elected officials were killed in by a Trump supporter.

Call out the hypocrisy.

Trump is ordering flags at half staff for Kirk's murder.

Yet, two months after the murder of MN Speaker Melissa Hortman he's refused to so much as call the Hortman family or Gov Walz, & instead mocked them.

Vile hypocrisy doesn't facilitate peace, it enables more violence.

The murder of Charlie Kirk was criminal, wrong, and should be condemned.

And Charlie Kirk was a horrible, hateful man who spent his life radicalizing young people to embrace their worst demons by targeting women, people of color, immigrants, and the marginalized.

I refuse to sanitize him.
