Far from being the unpaid homemakers and housewives of traditional historical record, women contributed to all the most important areas of the economy, such as agriculture, commerce, and care.”

The cult classic “The Social Life of Small Urban Spaces,” long passed around on bootleg copies and shown on classroom projectors, features lovingly edited footage of people doing things city planners often overlooked: sitting, talking, people-watching and shaping their environment in real time.
The Midtown movie that changed NYC’s sidewalks and plazas is coming to theaters
“The Social Life of Small Urban Spaces” will be rereleased Sept. 26.

When using Microsoft Word or Google Docs, don't just make text bigger and bolder to make it a heading. That will work for sighted users, but screen reader users will miss that and just hear it as normal paragraph text. Use actual heading styles, like level 1 through 6.

Trump wants to get rid of mail-in ballots so he can intimidate voters with federal troops stationed at the polling stations.

Hard to scare people who can just quietly mail in their votes.

Protect mail-in voting at all cost.

I got permission to share this, and I'm extremely grateful for that.

The Onion got this letter from one of our subscribers in Alaska. She works with dementia patients and decided to leave a copy in the car for each one.

This email made my year. Read it and you'll see what I mean. People are good.

That one person can drag us into a war without consulting or even notifying Congress, or our allies, or fully explaining to the American people why this is necessary, is absolutely bonkers.

Reminder that Congress has the power to stop all of this. Where the hell are they? Hello?

They need to plan a strategic multi facility strike with warrants from a judge in hand and police to help serve the warrants. All at the same time across several states. So they can’t shuffle people around and they can’t be denied entry or the facilitators will be arrested.
