But that's the point - "ultraprocessed" is such a broad category as to be useless. Some things with two ingredients are unhealthy. Some with 37 are healthy.

The category of "ultra-processed foods" is akin to declaring categorically "Liquids Are Bad", because if you list all the potable liquids, the average of the group is bad, because things like alcohol and sugary drinks outnumber, say, water. It's technically true but functionally absurd.

And no, patting people on the ass and going "It's OK sweetiekins, there's nothing wrong with being dumb and/or a bigot and it's totally A-OK your choice to be that way screwed over the entire country" is not how you successfully address that.
