Impeachment, now. Congress must do everything in its power to stop this unconstitutional war against Iran.

This is not about the merits of Iran’s nuclear program. No president has the authority to bomb another country that does not pose an imminent threat to the US without the approval of Congress. This is an unambiguous impeachable offense.

A lot of people are talking about whether Trump is going to go to war with Iran but not enough people are talking about the fact that Trump has no legal authority to do so without Congressional authorization

The Constitution is crystal clear: the president does not have the authority to go to war with Iran without approval by Congress.

I strongly support bipartisan efforts to prevent Trump from unilaterally dragging us into another war in the Middle East.

Every Minnesotan is yelling at all of you to knock this off. Not competitive districts. Lege is not in session. You don't even go here. This is bad enough without the rest of the country parrotting this. Just. Fucking. Wait. For. Local. Reporting.

Horrific act of terrorism in Minnesota today. Two Democratic lawmakers were targeted for violence for no reason but their political affiliation. We will be thinking of the victims today. May the terrorist who committed these unspeakable acts be swiftly brought to justice.

Brand-new polling from YouGov out this AM finds Trump's actions re: LA underwater. Double-digit disapproval on sending in Marines.

This should be a reality check for those people arguing the protests inherently help Trump bc his immigration approval # is positive.

INCREDIBLE opinion by Wilkinson refusing to stay Judge Xinis's orders in the Abrego Garcia case, condemning DOJ's arguments as "shocking not only to judges, but to the intuitive sense of liberty that Americans far removed from courthouses still hold dear."

And yet, as I note in the piece: "All of this, however, is just an argument seeking to manipulate the law. It is not the law and it is not a court’s ruling." This is what they want.

If the administration does not back down, the courts, Congress, or the people must ensure the plan fails.
Trump told us the horrifying reason why Kilmar Abrego Garcia is not back in the U.S.
The Trump administration wants to send Americans to foreign prisons. Keeping Abrego Garcia in El Salvador is key to that lawless plan.

If the U.S. government is going to take the position that, once removed from the United States, folks can’t be brought back, then it sure seems to me that federal courts should be reflexively and categorically barring *all* removals until they’re 100 percent certain that the removals are lawful.

The justices were unanimous that the Trump administration can't designate people as enemies and hustle them off in the dead of night without access to the courts.

The majority says the government must provide people enough notice that they can "actually seek habeas relief in the proper venue."
BREAKING: The Supreme Court, on a 5-4 vote, ends the TROs in the Alien Enemies Act litigation, holding challenges must be brought in habeas and in the jurisdiction in which detainees are held. The court also holds that notice and an actual opportunity to bring a habeas case must be given.
