Most "moderates" suck fossil fuel pipe for campaign donations.
I'm kind of baffled how the "moderates" have apparently all decided to turn against climate policy at once, just as China reaches green electrostate liftoff mode. I thought these people were all about National Greatness and making Hard Choices

Ah, but for those halcyon days when they cared about "crime families"
The Founders were so concerned about bribery that the Constitution forbids it three separate times. Two emoluments clauses ban officials—unambiguously including the president—from accepting things of value, plus bribery is the only named impeachable offense besides treason.

Unprecedentedly corrupt.

What, you mean to say that we're not rugged individualists just pining for Gault's Gulch? That we actually need other people, both personal and professional, to help us survive and thrive?

I'll take "Things I Never Knew About The Ramones" for $200, Alex 😜😂
When I was a teen I thought Joey Ramone's "pterodactyl club" shirt that he wore in the "Pet Semetary" music video was the coolest fuckin thing ever. I didn't know it was a dumpy lil' venue (now closed) in Charlotte North Carolina that they had gigged at, I just thought it was a cool shirt.

Yo, FIFA, you thought it wouldn't come to this? You thought this jackass wasn't going to make the entire event about himself? And, seriously, Seattle has "a crime problem"?

Better to yank all games from the USA and DIRECTLY blame the stable genius. 🙄

Seriously, it is truly disturbing how many truly disturbed people are wrapped up in the Christo-MAGA vortex.

a #MedievalSky question: when Edward III in 1360 is demanding that his Irish adminstration send vast and specified quantities of foodstuffs, including two hundred casks of Gascon wine, for his Scottish campaign, to "Novum Castrum super Are", where is it to go?

For comparison, $41.95 (about €35) gets me 30 rides on the Valencia metro/bus system.
We are going to need a study on how much people waste on this shit annually vs how much it would cost to have a functional transit system.

Somehow I'm guessing this, like most of the other insane social media posts coming from the executive branch these days, will simply be ignored by the press and "serious pundits" ... most likely because they can't "both sides" this but also, possibly and likely, fear. This is unprecedented.
Yikes 😬 an official U.S. government account just referred to Americans as “imbecilic morons.” That’s… a choice.

This is not going to affect conservative Catholics at all. They view the last two popes as illegitimate. Funny given how, growing up, all I ever heard from same conservative Catholics was "you don't get to pick and choose your faith". With conservatives it's always about power and control. Always.

NEW: @propublica.org investigated the Chicago apartment raid where kids were zip-tied and citizens detained for hours. They find:

- NONE of the arrested were criminally charged
- NO evidence the building was "filled with TdA terrorists."
- ZERO legitimate reason for DHS to rappel from a Blackhawk.
