It’s the same game plan with the Department of Education. Make being a teacher so inhospitable to normal folks that the public education system crumbles due to a lack of them.
this encapsulates what all of this administration is about. they aren’t “accidentally” destroying departments. they are intentionally destroying the government so they can become the government. the only issue they have with the system is they don’t profit from it or control it
