In a powerful moment, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey made clear he will NOT back down to the 47 regimes efforts to terrorize Somali immigrants.

This is powerful. This is what real leaders do!

Let’s be clear that this is misogyny. You can take issue with unethical professional behavior, and I do. But we are WAY WAY past that discussion, this is just general slut-shaming.

And also George is just clearly VERY VERY JEALOUS here.
/5 No, Tara brought good old George on, gave him a platform, and let him vent. George accused female journalists — and one by name — of being paid escorts posing as journalists who used sex to get stories. I am not paraphrasing or being metaphorical. Neither was George.

The DC shooting story is really getting to me because we literally trained this man as a child soldier for a death squad in a forever war and Stephen Miller et al want to blame it on other cultures? It's our culture, American culture, that killed that woman.

This is so deeply at odds with the vision and history of America. Take pretty much any ethnic or racial group that are part of the American mosaic America today - they have all faced the same accusation. The moment these accusations are turned into policy are some of the most shameful in US history
Stephen Miller is now arguing that assimilation is fundamentally impossible and that certain cultures are not compatible with Western civilization

BREAKING: At Pope Leo XIV’s urging, U.S. Catholic bishops just delivered the strongest rebuke of a sitting president in Church history — condemning Trump-Vance raids as “inhumane” and “dehumanizing” in a 216–5 vote.
NEW: At Pope Leo’s Urging, Bishops Issue Historic Rebuke of Trump’s Raids
Nearly all U.S. Catholic bishops united in Baltimore to denounce the Trump administration’s “inhumane” deportation campaign — a near-unanimous, unprecedented moral stand against a sitting president.

This is so fascinating. Just the possibility of NYC having a mayor squarely on the left has caused the Overton window to shift left to where Cuomo is the de facto Republican with the endorsement of Stephen Miller. Gotta be the answer, right?

Trump’s voters have become like the members of the administration, delighting in the crassness and obscenity that pours out of the president and his circle whenever they are challenged. But policies suffer and the public is poorly served.

Get tougher on who? The woman with malignant melanoma?

Because he sure as hell isn't getting tougher on the billionaires he invited to his Great Gatsby party.
