In case it isn’t clear yet, the fascists are carrying out a project where they drain all programs focused on the public good and well-being and dividing the money between themselves, their friends, and new programs designed to oppress and control.

This is how they treat a state senator who was asking a question at a press conference when they know they are being filmed, what do you think this means for civilians?

In theory this is the most simple case for AI to get right. A list of actual books that exist to read. That’s it. But it can’t even do that. So are we going to let it make insurance decisions? Really?
This was just posted by @tbretc.bsky.social on another platform. The Chicago Sun-Times obviously gets ChatGPT to write a ‘summer reads’ feature almost entirely made up of real authors but completely fake books. What are we coming to?

About 90% of Migrants Deported to El Salvador Had No US Criminal Record
Trump administration officials have described the men deported to El Salvador prisons last month as “the worst of the worst,” suggesting they were gang members involved in murder, rape and kidnapping.

The intermingling of fascist paramilitary and propaganda groups with the federal government is a literal hallmark of fascism.

Do with that information what you will and really sit with what it means that a stochastic terrorist is now essentially deputized by the state to do as she pleases.

Is now a good time to say that people convicted of crimes deserve rights, due process, and not to be deported, let alone to a third country slave prison
On X, VP Vance falsely claims that Mr. Abrego was a "convicted MS-13 gang member."

In fact, Mr. Abrego has no criminal record at all. He was arrested (but not charged) while looking for day labor outside a Home Depot in 2019. Local cops then said a "confidential informant" said he was in MS-13.

I don't give a shit what he chooses or declines to rule out. It's not his fucking choice. Stop writing about it as if his opinion matters. Write about it like it is: unquestionably illegal, not a debate, not his call, not going to fucking happen.
President Donald Trump on Sunday declined to rule out seeking a third presidential term — an unconstitutional act explicitly barred under the 22nd Amendment — saying that “there are methods which you could do it.”
Trump suggests ‘methods’ exist for bid for unconstitutional third term
President Donald Trump again raised the idea of running for a third term in office, an unconstitutional idea that would run afoul of the 22nd Amendment.

Though not the most wild part of this, I do find it interesting the "people only wear masks to do bad things crowd" makes sure to mask up while kidnapping students off the streets. And we cannot be resigned to this as normal or acceptable.
The Massachusetts governor, the city, and the university needs to drop everything to locate and free this girl and make sure this doesn't happen again.

This is DEFCON-1. If they do this to someone who wrote an op-ed in a college newspaper, they will do this to anyone they don't like.
Video of the international student at Tufts being arrested by "federal authorities" in Massachusetts has been released and it's terrifying.

They're not even uniformed officers. Just secret police thugs in hoodies and masks.

If we can "avoid a government shutdown" by voting for this CR, then why is the entire Department of Education closed today? Why is USAID closed? Why are hundreds of billions in grant contracts frozen?

We are already in the shutdown. And your votes DON'T stop it. In fact, they allow it to expand.

I have both called & emailed Schumer, if you live in NY I suggest you do the same if this sounds bad to you, tell him NO on the CR & NO on Cloture. Phone: (518) 431-4070 Albany, (202) 224-6542 DC

Don't know if it's true, but it's consistent with Schumer's decision to still have no public stance on it.

Presumably his idea is to get enough Dems to vote for cloture and then vote against the CR; such should be interpreted as intentionally enabling the Trump/Musk agenda, because it is.

🚨 Everyone needs to call their Dem Senator right now. They are starting to cave.

Tell them:
1. Vote NO on Cloture
AND
2. Vote NO on the Republican spending bill.

Don’t let them pivot to reconciliation. GOP doesn’t need Dem votes on that and they know it.

TODAY is the showdown.
