And also: The Post Office in a rural town. The mail, the keys, the pinboard announcing births & deaths: we’re accessioned too.

Be glad that you have something to say, someone to say it to, and that you can say it until you are all worn out.

Also, I am a firm believer that every author should have a website with an email address, and that every time you read something you love a lot, you should send a little note to the author if you can.

Not coincidentally, the Panthers were also one of the few major left organizations in the homophobia-laden '60s/'70s to openly support the Stonewall riots and the ensuing queer liberation movements.
In 1977, Disabled activists occupied the Federal Building in San Francisco to demand the passage of Section 504— legislation to protect against disability discrimination. When the building was cordoned off, in an effort to starve activists out, The Black Panthers *Broke In* to deliver them hot meals.

Endless gratitude to @onagritz.bsky.social and @wordgathering.bsky.social for this review of my @sundresspub.bsky.social craft book NERVE, which so beautifully describes how I hoped to position my writing advice for disabled, chronically ill, and neurodivergent writers.

(During today’s hearing, the judge said that her clerks have also been up since around 2:30 a.m., when she called them about the emergency motion for a temporary restraining order.)

Pour one out for Judge Sparkle Sooknanan’s clerks this Labor Day weekend
Can we stop to talk about how remarkable the timing was? Compliant at 1am, Judge engaged at 2am, ex parte call to the Government at 2:30am (they did not answer), TRO at 4am?

On a Sunday of a holiday weekend?!

Honestly, I am not sure if I’ve ever met a person, of any gender in the United States, who hasn’t been sexually assaulted or raped or both, multiple times. It’s an epidemic.
There is a certain type of woman who honestly, truly believes that men cannot be victims of sexual assault or harassment and thinks it's funny to do things like grope them in public, and I always feel like women in general need to do a better job of calling it out when we see it.
grabbing a sharpie and adding “EVEN IF THEY’RE MEN” to the “COSPLAY IS NOT CONSENT” signs bc apparently you need to make that part explicit
