It's honestly shocking this didn't get at least a three-column, top-of-the-page headline. Part of me wonders how much of it was that it wasn't "their" story, which isn't an excuse so much as it is an understanding of the mindset at major publications.
The more coverage a story gets, the more important readers think it is.
